Show CiOCIETY RECEPTION. Among the many pleasant events of the past few days was the reception recep-tion given Monday night at tho homo of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Cross, 365 Twenty-ninth street, In honor of Mr. Cross sister, , Mrs. Anglo Arnold, and the nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Lane, recently wedded by Patriarch Geo. W. Larkin. Card games, instrumental music, songs and other social diversions were enjoyed together with a bountiful bounti-ful supper, perfectly served. Covers wero laid for the following: Mrs. Angle Arnold and George A. Arnold Ar-nold of Montpeller, Idaho: Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Lane. Mr. and Mrs, Mc-Knight, Mc-Knight, Mrs. Schat and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. F. W Cross, W. J. Crltch-low Crltch-low nnd three sons, Mr. and Mrs. Ira W. Williams, Miss Little, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Cross. Prizes wero won in tho card gamo, "sixty-three," by Mrs. J. V. Lane and W. J. Critchlow, who made tbe high scores, and Mrs. Schat and Geo. A. Arnold, whw carried off the booby prizes. In tho early hours of July 4 the party dispersed, vvith best wishes for the honor guests and pleasant congratulations con-gratulations for the host and hostess, who had So royally entortnlned them.
