Show uu SHORTAGE IN THE WATER SUPPLY Water for irrigation purposes in Weber county has become so scarce that the irrigation, companies of the county have sent a committee to the county board ot commissioners asking ask-ing thom to appoint water commissioners commis-sioners to distcibute tho water from the various canals of Ogden and Weber rivers Tho commissioners, will take the matter up at their meeting Monday. In the meantime Joseph Alien Taylor will attend to the distribution of the waters of Ogden river The water from this stream is so low, It Is said, that some of the farm lands are entirely en-tirely without a' supply. Lands that are watered frofp canals leading from the Weber river are not suffering so much. Commissioner ,Madson says that the water Is protty low when It becomes necessary to call special commissioners commission-ers to distribute it, and it all means he says, that ,the. waters of the Ogden River watershed should be conserved and held for use in the dry season of tho year. oo |
