Show I Camorrists Cry Out' Against the Informer, Abbatemaggio Viterbo, Italy, July 5. Personal ( feeling flared, up at the Camorrists' trial today aagin It came about ' when Genuaro Abbatemaggio, the informer, in-former, was confronted by a witness , for tho defense named Di Martiere. Di Martiere had testified that he knew Luigi Arena In prison and could affirm af-firm that the latter had never participated partic-ipated in the burglary which the state alleges led to Cuoccolo's death. Following Fol-lowing his testimony DI Martiere was brought face lo face with Abbatemaggio Abbatemag-gio and angry exchanges followed. The prisoners, led by Enrico Alfanco, joined the witness In denouncing the Informer. There was great confusion to which ViohinI, one of the lawyers for the defense, added by encouraging his clients in their demonstration. "If Abbatemaggio continues his , provocative attitude I will throw an i Ink stand at his head," said the law-er. law-er. To this Abbatemaggio said: "I will defend myself and 1 will affirm my denunciation even should my tongue be cut out.'' DI Martiere said that Marshal Cap-atu.zi Cap-atu.zi of the Carabineers had offered him a reward If he would support the accusations of Abbatemaggio. |
