The Fourth was celebrated at this little town by the dedication of public buildings erected from a fund of $100 established estab-lished a century ago"'by an ancestor of Darwin H. James, Jr., president of the Brooklyn Young Republican club of Now York cfty. This sum,accordingr"to the term of the will, was to remain intact with its accumulations foij one hundred years, when it was to be divided equally equal-ly between the church and the town. The fund had reached approximately approximate-ly $20,000 when theJ date of dhision was reached ttys year. Darwin R. James, Jr., and an aunt, represented the testator of a century ago.
