Show Services Held Friday for Mrs. C. J. Plowman v Impressive funeral services were held for Mrs. Zylphia Amelia Plowman Friday in the Fourth ward chapel, with J. Gerald Plowman of the ward bishopric presiding. Mrs. Plowman, wife of Bishop C. J. Plowman, passed away at her home following a long illness. The beautiful flowers bespoke the esteem in which Mrs. Plowman Plow-man was held by her friends. With Mrs. Rachel Erickson' as director and Mrs. Harry Mich-aelis Mich-aelis accompanist, the choir sang "Sister Thou Are Mild and Lovely"; Love-ly"; following prayer by J. A. Atnscough, Mr. Roy Smith sang "O What a Pal Was Mother," accompanied by Mrs. G. J. Meyer. Dr. G. L. Rees and Bishop William Wil-liam L. Winn lauded Mrs. Plowman's Plow-man's patience and cheerful nature na-ture through many years of suffering. suf-fering. A duet,, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," was sung by Florence and Rebecca Lewis, accompanied by Mrs. Grant Webb. Following the duet Bishop Sylvester Syl-vester Low reviewed Mrs. Plow- man's life and pointed out that she looked on the bright side of problems and she had undying faith and devotion to the gospel. Comparing her with her pioneer., pio-neer., grandparents, Bishop Hazen Hillyard declared that Mrs. Plowman Plow-man exemplified the true characteristics charac-teristics of one who lives the gospel of Christ. Mrs. Eugene Lundquist sang "That Wonderful Mother of Mine," accompanied by Mrs. G. J. Meyer. Frank Tidwell spoke of the affection af-fection and high esteem in which she was held by neighbors and Cache valley people. "Even small children asked favors and advice of Mrs. Plowman." Following the closing son, "Oh My Father," sung by the choir, prayer was offered by A. J. Kickham. |
