Show Draft Calls 220 Men from Utah in July SALT LAKE CITY Pour hundred hun-dred sixty-four draftees from Utah, Idaho and Nevada will be Inducted into the army under the selective service act from July 7, to July 15, Colonel B. E. Grey, officer of-ficer in charge of the recruiting station has announced. Colonel Grey said that the call will take 220 men from Utah, 161 from Idaho and 83 from Nevada. All Utah and Nevada draftees willbe inducted at the Salt Lake recruiting station, but a certain percentage of Idaho selectees will go into the army at Port Lewis, Washington. Besides selective service men, the Salt Lake station is working to fill a call for 122 men for the air corps, including flying cadets; 21 men for the Philippine department depart-ment and 30 men for the Hawaiian Hawai-ian departments. Applicants accepted ac-cepted for the overseas departments depart-ments have their choice of service In intantry, field artillery, coast artillery, Air corps, medical departments de-partments and ordnance department depart-ment units. |
