Show Adult Teachers Conclude Months Schooling More than three hundred teachers tea-chers in adult education from Utah and Idaho left Logan Saturday. They had attended a four week work conference at the USAC. These instructors in public affairs, af-fairs, citizenship English and the arts are employed on WPA pru-jects pru-jects in the two states. All during the conference, research, re-search, lectures and instruction was centered around the new situations situa-tions created by the crisis now confronting this country oue k the conditions prevailing in Europe. Eur-ope. Classes for adults will be resumed early in July in each section of Utah and Idaho. There will be a special drive made to see to it that all aliens be trained for naturalization. nat-uralization. In the past year hundreds hun-dreds have passed the exams for citizenship. While the educational program will be somewhat curtailed according accord-ing to Mack Nicolaysen, Utah State director, intensive work will be done consistent with the numbers num-bers of teachers available. One project will be started Monday Mon-day here in Logan. All students taking national . defense training courses at the USAC will receive instruction in irst aid and personal per-sonal hygiene. This class will be directed by Leo Rollison who is considered to be one of the outstanding out-standing men in first aid training train-ing in the state. |
