Sales of 23 vacant lots during the latest week enjoyed the most impressive gain, totaling $656,395 compared to the previous weeks $165,450 for 6 properties. The latest total is a record for the year, exceeding the previous high of $611,598 set in the first week of June. Residential single family homes slackened slightly to 205 units at $9 million from the previous weeks $9.7 million for 209 units. Multiple dwelling units finished the week at $492,000 versus the preceding weeks $704,800. Business property sales were up marginally, from $234,500 to $272,500. For the month of August, the average price of a single family residence dropped to $44,402 (see graph) from the previous months $46,180.
