Show Mrs. Emerett Funk Musig Dies at Home in Ephraim Funeral services for Mrs Lmerett Funk Musig, 83, who died Saturday afternoon of a cerebral hemorrhage at her home in Ephraim, were con-. con-. ducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. in I the Ephraim North L D S ward chapel. The ward choir sang "Beauti-lul "Beauti-lul Home" and the opening prayer was given by Orson Neil-son. Neil-son. The choir then sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives . Mrs. William Musig then read the history of Mrs. Emerett F. Musig and also read several poems. "The Last Rose of Summer Sum-mer , a violin solo, was played by Mrs. June Bartholomew. The speakers were William McFar-lane McFar-lane of Manti, Mrs. Poulsen and J. W. Humphreys of Ephraim. I he closing song by the choir was "Nearer Dear Savious To 1'hee" and the benediction was given by Mr. Funk. Burial was in the Manti City cemetery, directed by Olsen mortuary. She was born in Manti, September Sep-tember 7, 1858, a daughter of Daniel B. and Maria De Mill Funk. She was married to Charles E. C. Musig in the Salt Lake Endowment house November No-vember 9, 1874. Mrs. Musig in her early years was very active in the Relief society and Y W M I A organizations. orga-nizations. She served as counselor coun-selor in both organizations and was president of the M I A four years. Mr. Musig died April 4, 1941. A son and four daughters survive: sur-vive: William D. Musig of Monroe; Mon-roe; Mrs. Pearl Edwards of My-ton; My-ton; Mrs. Marie Barton of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Margretta Harmon Har-mon of Twin Falls, Idaho and Mrs. Kate Nielson of Duchesne; also 37 grandchildren, 58 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. |
