Three local businesses namely Avalon Theatre Baker Drugs and El Ana Motel have taken it upon themselves to plant halfbarrels with petunias canna lilies and marigolds That little bit of color and brightness adds so much to the appearance of downtown main street and most of all tells everyone whose gaze rests upon the tubs of lovely flowers that those particular merchants care and take pride in their little city One early morning as I was about to enter Baker Drug I saw Ron patiently clipping and trimming all the dead flower heads from his two planters making them look well groomed Wouldn’t it be great if all the business people on Main Street between Center Street and 1st North would get together and share of flowers and their care as a beautification project for next summer? Fillmore is such a pretty little town nestled in a corner of the Pahvant Range We should all take pride in it and make it a pleasant place to be and to see Now that we can boast of new sidewalks and a newly surfaced Main Street why not go all the way and say it with tubs of flowers “We Love Fillmore”!
