Christopherson will soon complete successful suc-cessful runs, the latter named outfit having been at work about six weeks. The crops were not as good as usual, the frost, affecting both the grain and the seed. There. Js not much wheat raised here, mostly oats. The mbercantlle business has been changing hands here In the valley. The Rancher store, formerly owned by Thos. Dearson. Sr., deceased, (for the past year run by Ed Da vies of Fillmore), Fill-more), was sold to Jss. Robison and Al' Swallow. The McQueen building and lot was sold to Will Conder, and It Is generally understood that Guilder anJ Ilaker will put In a stock of merchandise. I Ed Davles and family have returned t:i their home In Fillmore. The Rowley family have returned, bringing their daughter, who bas been 1 o 111 in Fillmore, with them. 1 Election wss very quiet here. There 1 was a strong vote polled for Virgil ' Kelly, as he was well known and liked, 1 aUo for Mrs. Cronholm for County Srperlntendent, as every one believes here, that that Is an office that should be tilled by a woman. Our mall service has now been estab li-hei lor several months, for which we are truly thankful. The sheep, men have begun to arrive with their herds i lor the winter. i |
