Show three-quarter mines of canal work practically prac-tically complete, after which about one-fourth of a tulle is lined or marked and partly dug. At this point about two miles from the bead of the canat, will bo the longest tunnel of all. It will be about 12U0 feet long and cut through w hat appears to be clay. The tunnel work at this place bas been commenced. He low hero for about three-fourths of a mile the work Is complete and then several stretches of about half a mile each are either opened up or nearly complete. Most of the work done up to date are the clay portions and a strip reaching out on to the bench at the mouth of the canyon. In all the finished and the unfinished, un-finished, there are about six miles under un-der good headway with five canal camps working every day that the weather Is at all favorable. Prom an appearances the canal will be a sure thing this time. Contracts are being let for the bench work. With the opening of spring there will undoubtedly undoubt-edly be a land boom Jn this part of the county. Brother Langston from Hinckley and Stake President A. A.
