Show Brother Dies At Hospital John Alma Stapley, 77, son of Utah's first native-born white woman, wo-man, died in a Cedar City hospital early Monday of a heart ailment. He was a life-long resident of Ka-naraville. Ka-naraville. He was a brother of M. M. Stapley of Delta and William T. Stapley of Hinckley. Mr. Stapley was born in Kanara-ville Kanara-ville July 21, 1872, a son of James S. and Elizabeth Steele Stapley. She was the first white girl child born after the LDS pioneers arrived arriv-ed at Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed Thursday at 2 p.m. in Kanara-ville Kanara-ville ward chapel and burial will be in Kanarraville. |
