Tho economy of home prow n foods was taken up and comparison made between them and some of the feeds pun based. The conclusions of the whole matters were: First That In the growth of forar crops the farmer gets feed two or three times cheaper and of better finality than In buying tho best ton-re ton-re titrated feeds. Second -That the growth of forace crops builds up tho soil Instead of de pleting It. Third That the crops to raise are alfalfa, oats, corn nnd peas. In connection with this It was shown that It Is poshlblo to produce a continuous supply of green food throughout the season, and that 3 4 ows can be kept to the acre. |
