Mrs. Nellie Jensen, aged 73 years, was In Salt Lake City visiting with her daughter, where she contracted a cold, which later developed into pneumonia, from which she died on Saturday evening, the 4th. The body was shipped to Deseret on Wednesday Wednes-day and funeral services were held on Thursday, when her remains were laid by the side of her lato husband, Lars Jensen. Owing to so many cases of sickness sick-ness of measles in our ncgihborlng settlements, the Quarterly Conference Confer-ence of Millard Stake was held in Desoret, and In order that protection protec-tion bo given to the visitors the board of health of the Desoret district issued is-sued orders that children and persons per-sons living in houses where tho disease dis-ease was would not bo admitted or allowed to attend the conference. This being the orders State President Hinckley could not attend the conference, confer-ence, much to tho regret of tho Saints in attendance, and while there were conflicting opinions on the matter, he showed that he believed in obeying. This feeling was Increased by the news of the death of First Counselor Frederick R. Lyman. This caused a spirit of sadness to rest upon the congregation, con-gregation, and especially upon President Pres-ident Orvllle L. Thompson, second counselor, who presided In mi able manner. There were present of the general authorities of the church, Apostle Georgo F. Richards and Joseph Jo-seph W.
