Show TOWN DADS RECEIVE THE PUBLIC'S 0. K. No Opposition Develops To Present Administration; 169 Votes Cast. BEAVER NAMES BARTON With no opposition, the present town administration was retained for another two years by the will of the voters, expressed at the municipal election Tuesday. O. F. Hubbell succeeds suc-ceeds himself as board president; L. G. Clay. and Geo. Litchfield, present incumbents in ofice on the town board, were re-elected; and Geo. Fernley and James Glenn were elected elect-ed to succeed Frank Farmer and J. R. Murdock, who were not candidates. The total vote cast was 109. This was only about one-third of the vote polled two years ago when there were wo tickets named and 484 persons soled. Each of the candidates got from 158 to 1C1 votes this year, and there was a sprinkling of individual lallots cast for persons not named on .he ballot, mostly 'joke' votes. Beaver Results Beaver elected the enti Democratic Demo-cratic ticket, headed by Johi Barton. Bar-ton. With the exception of i .- i'on-test i'on-test for mayor, where the figi t c-' ered, the Bourbon ticket had easy sailing. Five hundred and seventy-five seventy-five votes were cast. Mr. Barton, who was mayor of Eeaver about six years ago, defeated Henry K. Boyter, present incumbent, by the narrow margin of six votes. Councilmen elected were E. A. Griffiths,. J. C. Tolton, Gilbert Smith and E. A. Petty. Mrs. Edith Woolsey and Mrs. Hattie Ashworth were elected recorder record-er and treasurer, respectively. |
