Show SOCIETY Entertains Informally Mrs. Mary Fernley entertained informally in-formally on Wednesday afternoon. A great deal of merriment was had in fortune telling and a dainty luncheon lunch-eon was served to Erma Gillies, Marie Lewis, Itha Kinney, Ethel Neilson, Edna Parrish and Aileen Farmer. Pierian Club Mrs. Williard Nichols entertained the Pierian club at her home Friday evening, December 28th. Those present pres-ent were Mrs. L. G- Clay, Mrs. D. A. Baxter, Mrs. Roy White, Mrs. Robert Sherwood, Mrs. Freda Outzen, Mrs. J R B. Young, and Mrs. Bruce Allyn. Guests of the evening were Mrs. Vena Wilson and the Misses Eva and Arvilla Arvil-la Clark, sisters of Mrs. Allyn. All enjoyed current events, prepared by Mrs. Baxter. The semi-anuual election of officers was held and those selected were Mrs. Allyn to continue as the club's president; Mrs. Young for first vice-president; Mrs. Outzen, as second vice-president and Mrs. Clay to continue con-tinue as secretary-treasurer. The hostess served a sumptious luncheon. All had a most delightful evening at this, the last meeting of the club in 1928. The first meeting of the New year will be held January 14th, at the home of Mrs. Roy White. Bridge Party at Gospill Home Mrs. F. W. Gospill and Miss Gospill Gos-pill entertained their bridge club the past week. The home was decorated in Christmas effects to which their many house plants contributed. |
