Show Fortress Gunner Weds Schoolmate Sweetheart Announcements of the wedding of Miss Doris Terry and Staff Sergeant Gael W. Elmer, United States army air corps, were printed print-ed this week by The News and are being mailed to friends of the couple. The marriage took place Tuesday, June 9 in the Salt Lake L. D. S. temple only a few days after Sergeant Elmer had returned from overseas, much of the time as a prisoner of the Germans after bailing out over Hungary The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Terry of Leslie, Idaho, and a sister of Mrs. I. Mitchell Fisher, with whom she has (been making her home for several years, graduating from Milford high school in 1943. She has been employed as bookkeeper at the Sen-ice garage since graduation. grad-uation. The bridegroom is the younger ! son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer of I South Milford and is a 1942 grad-j uate of M. H. S. He assisted onj the farm for a time and later j started to learn railroad tele- j graphy but entered the army air j forces, training at Buckley field, Colorado; Tacoma, Washington j and Avon Park, Florida. j Following an extended furlough ; at home, Sergeant and Mrs. Elmer, likely will go to Santa Monica,; California where he will report for the customary check-up and reassignment.
