Show Former Resident Dies In California Word reached Milford friends Saturday of the death the day previous at Maywood, California, of Mrs. A. A. Hillary, for some 16 years a resident of Milford. Death was due to diabetes, from which she was an acute sufferer about three weeks. Interment took place Monday in a crypt of Angeles Abbey Ab-bey masoleum in Compton, following follow-ing impressive funeral and commitment com-mitment services conducted by the Reverend McKee. The funeral cortege was long and -the chapel crowded with friends of the family, including Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Moore and son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Moore, also former Milford residents. The floral offerings were gorgeous. Mrs. Hillary was born in 1888 and the family came to Milford in 1914. For many years Mr. Hillary was baggage and express agent at Milford and the family enjoyed a Hillary retired from active em-wide em-wide circle of friends. In 1914 Mr. ployment by the railroad and the family moved to California to make their home, Mr. Hillary conducting con-ducting an archery and curio store in Maywood, it is understood. Mrs. Hillary is survived by her husband, their son-Jack an his wife (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Young of Milford) and little granddaughter, grand-daughter, Lynn Charline; also by Mrs. Hillary's mother, Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Stanchfield, wellknown in Milford for her nursing services. |
