Show ICE SKATING RINK GOAL OF THE U. P. ATHLETIC CLUB The Milford Athletic Club is endeavoring en-deavoring to construct for its members mem-bers a skating rink in the present ball park. The management of the L. A. & S. L. has kindly consented to supply the necessary water connections con-nections and supervision while flooding flood-ing same if the members of the Athletic Ath-letic club will furnish the labor to level the ball park off and build necessary nec-essary dikes. The Club is for Milford people. Not for only railroad employes and their families. Membership fees are $5.00 per year ; this entitles the member mem-ber to a 20 percent reduction on tickets tick-ets for games, basketball and baseball, to the use of the present tennis court, and the new tennis court to be built in the early spring of 1929. Tennis was highly successful, and those who joined for this sport alone, thought it well worth the money. Equipment, such as shoes, balls and rackets may be obtained at Club prices to members of the Athletic Club, which is a feature fea-ture worth consideration. It is felt that the ice skating rink will be as successful as the tennis court; as the town, as well as the club, needs entertainment during the winter months when most outdoor sports are out of the question. o |
