Show RAILROAD NOTES. Traffic over the U. & N. [Utah & Northern] continues to boom. The present power on the road is insufficient to do justice to its immense business. Train men have to make long runs on this account. By courtesy of Supt. [Superintendant] Thatcher, we were lately permitted to examine the plans of the shops at Eagle Rock. The works there are to be very expensive, and at a future time we purpose giving our readers a detailed description of them. About 100 men are now employed on them, and things in Eagle Rock are booming?. The road was blockaded? for a short time last week, north of Eagle Rock, causing a temporary check? to trains. All is a usual, though, at present. The work of putting up snow fences as a prevention of blockades?, continues at exposed points all along the road. |
