Show ZION'S BOARD OF TRADE BUILDING. Work on this structure has been hastened so rapidly that it is now nearly completed. It is designed as a warehouse and depot for storing wagons, agricultural machinery, bolts, hardwood, &c., &c. (etc., etc.), dealt in by the Board of Trade, and is very well adapted for this purpose. The main portion of the ground floor consists of a large apartment in which vehicles, &c. (etc.) will be kept on exhibition. From this room have been partitioned off three small apartments, one for an office, another as a harness room, and a third, which will be lined with pigeon holes, for the storage of bolts, &c. (etc.). The upper story consists of one large apartment to be used for storing wagons, &c. (etc.). The front of the building presents a very fine appearance and shows good taste and workmanship in construction. The United Order of Hyrum took the contract for constructing the building. We lately inspected the stock of hardwood now on hand on the premises and believe it to be one of the best ever brought to this Territory. It is complete, and is sold at reasonable prices. Parties desiring to purchase the Studebaker wagon, which is dealt in by the Board, have been obliged to wait for their arrival. Mr. Tanner informs us that he has quite a list of names of parties who are anxiously awaiting the arrival of more wagons, that they may purchase, so popular has this wagon become. |
