Show T 8B Lakeside Review South. i Wednesday, Aug 17,1983 Bountiful Sets Up Department Bountiful BOUNTIFUL a set has departspecial up City ment to handle $200,000 that will be used for flood clean up in the city. City Manager Tom Hardy said the city will receive the $200,000 as a result of a two mill levy property tax increase earlier by the Bountiful City & council. After the city council approved the tax increase, Hardy said he received a phone call from the county auditor suggesting that a special department be set up to handle the funds. ; He said the practice of setting up a special department to handle a large expenditure is a routine practice to help with accounting of the funds. I He said the city has set up a Street lighting department in another instance. The street light department, however, does not involve any city employees, but is a department "without any people in it, Hardy said. . The city council also voted to amend its 1983-8- 4 budget to include the funds and the new flood clean up department. La Leche Sets Meeting La Leche League of Bountiful will hold the fourth in it series of meetings on August 8, at the home of Debre DeJong, 763 North Main, Farmington, at 7 p.m. The topic for discussion is Nutrition and Weaning. The association, organized in 1974, has played a major role e in the expansion and improvement of these services. The high point of the three month drive will be the annual fund raising performance Fantasy Fever a variety entertainment show featuring professional dancers, vocalists, musicians and state-wid- from performers novelty throughout the western United States.
