Show Horseshoe tourney set Each class is played according to ringer percentages. The A class will be about 32 percent and higher, class B will be from 20 to 32 percent, class C from 15 to 20 percent, class D from 10 to 15 percent and class E from 1 to 10 percent. CEDAR CITY - The third annual Cedar City Open Horseshoe Tournament Tour-nament is scheduled to be played at the city's downtown park Aug. 21. The deadline for entry in the horseshoe tournament tour-nament is set for Aug. 19. Interested pitchers can contact Dennis Ohms at 777 Midvalley Road, Cedar City, Utah 84720 or at 586-9352. An exciting competition com-petition is in store, as seasoned horseshoe pitchers such as locals Jerry Moritz, Lorin Condie, Nober Zuniga and Southern California Horseshoe Association president and California Horseshoes Hall of Fame member Gerry Klopher will battle to dethrone king ringer, Dennis Ohms, Oh-ms, Cedar City, two-time winner of past Class A Divisions. The horseshoe tournament tour-nament is open to any and all interested people, and players will be placed in classes according to ability, whether it's only coming close to throwing ringers. A fee is being charged of $3 for most classes and $5 for the Championship Class A. |
