Show Society supports increasing help . CEDAR CITY A two-hour meeting Of the Iron County Medical Society has resulted in the society supporting the "increased number of physicians in Iron County." The society conducted the meeting on Aug. 4, and released a written statement under the letterhead of the Utah State Medical Association to the press Monday. The release also notes that the society will "continue to work to remedy problems and misun derstandings and to promote quality patient care for the community." The release came only two weeks after a local controversy concerning the recruitment of new specialists to the Valley View Medical Center and Cedar City. ' According to the release the meeting was conducted to discuss the misunderstandings misun-derstandings and complaints made by physicians in Cedar City. "The goals of the meeting were to resolve conflicts and establish ways for physicians to . work together more amicably," it said. The release said that misunderstandings misun-derstandings have occurred regarding the release of patient information from one physician to another, but physicians at the meeting agreed to abide by the medical information policy of the Utah State Medical Association. |
