Show Ward, Stake and Church Officials Join In Chapel Groundbreaking Ceremonies j A large group of ward mem., bers, ward, stake and church of-j ficials turned out Friday evening for the ground breaking core-monies core-monies of the Cedar Seventh Ward chapel. Site for the new edifice Is on' 900 West Street, between 200 and 400 South Streets. I Ground was dedicated by R. Reid Cox, former member of tho stake presidency and a member of the Seventh Ward Building Committee. j Creaking ground were repre- sentatives of the LDS General Church Building Committee, Da-I Da-I vid Veit; Darrell Wilson, who will serve as building superin--.ten lent; members of the Cedar West Stake Presidency. George Barrus and Robert White, and 'the Seventh Ward bishopric, ln-j eluding Bishop. Edwin C. Cox and I counsel jr Merrill Kunz and Wal- do Topham. I Brief remarks were heard from each in addition to Mayor IIu-men IIu-men Gardner. j The structure will contain 18.-1 18.-1 077 squaret feet of floor space ' and 21 teaching areas. Immediately following the ground breaking ceremony the ward staged a special groundbreaking ground-breaking dinner at the Cedar LDS Stake House as another nhase of the ward's fund raising rais-ing program. Approximately 250 people were served and enter- tained at the event at $12.50 per ilate, which was solicited as con-I con-I ".ributions to the project. |
