Tex., last week, and the body was brought to Denver for burial. It was interred in Mt. Oll- vct cemetery. She figured prominently in the affairs of the Wome not Woodcraft, Wood-craft, belonging to Franklin circle. A delegation of women from that lodge attended the funeral on Monday and escorted the body to lis last resting place. Queen's Daughters Meet. The sewing meetings of the Denver council of Queen's Daughters will be resumed at the home of Mrs. Daniel llonaghan, 1CT3 York street, in the i near future. ' Tills ball has come to be recognized as one of the leading social events in Catholic circles as well as a means- of materially aiding the Sisters of St. Vincent's home in the support of some 2"0 little children committed to their I 'are. The splendid sum of $2,000 was !' ' realized by the ball of 1907 and the members are bending- every effort to even surpass that figure by this year's ( entertainment, for the establishment of I the nursery depends in a measure on f the re-suit of the coming ball. Gosd Shepherd Aid Society. The Good Shepherd Aid association held one of its delightful social meetings meet-ings Wednesday evening, November 20, at the home of Mrs. George W. Prior, 1235 Pennsylvania avenue. The charming charm-ing hostess received the members and j their husbands in her spacious billiard room, which was elaborately decorated decorat-ed in chrysanthemums. After a short business session an enjoyable evening was spent. These meetings are a pleasant pleas-ant feature of the Good Shepherd Aid association, as they afford opportunity for the members employed during the clay to attend, and as the organization has a large male contingent this arrangement ar-rangement is especially desirable. Sacred Heart Aid Society. A very large meeting of the Sacred Heart Ladicg' Aid society was held Thursday afternoon. November 21, at the home of Mrs. William A. Grainger, 2130 Downing avenue. A partial report re-port on the recent ball and card party was made which proves it to have been an unqualified success. This is very gratifying in view of the fact that severe weather has already set in and the demands upon the treasury of the society increase daily. The next regular regu-lar meeting will be on December 5 with Mrs. Henry Abel and her daughter. Miss Irene Abel as hostess at their home, 2642 Lafayette street. The annual an-nual election of officers will occur at this meeting. Young Ladies' Aid Society. The Young Ladies' Sodality of St. Dominic's parish gave a delightful dancing party on Tuesday evening. November No-vember 19, In St. Dominic's hall. Grove street and West Twenty-fifth avenue. Rev. William O'Ryan of St. Leo's church conducted services at the Old Ladles' heme Sunday afternoon. |
