Show WEDDING BELLS. j t Peterson-Nichols. A home wedding of Tuesday evening was that of Miss Jennie Peterson and C. A. Nichols, which took place at the home of the bride's mother, 249 Second East street. The ceremony was performed per-formed by Judge D. N. Straup, and the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Pearl Peterson, while Bernard Augustine Au-gustine was" the best man. Following the ceremony, a reception was held from 8 till 10 o'clock, and later 'Mr. and 1 Mrs. Nichols left for a short wedding trip. They will shortly be at home to their friends at 309 Fifth East street. Santschi-Bassett. At the home, of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Santschi, on Twelfth East street, Tuesday Tues-day evening, at 8:30. their daughter, Miss Helen Santschi, and Freeman Bassett were married by the Rev. V. M. Paden. The bridal Darty stood in the bay window, which was banked with palms, ferns and sweet peas, with festoons of smilax extending to the central chandelier. A background was formed by an American flag, in compliment compli-ment to the bride's brother, Eugene Santschi. who has recently graduated with honors from the military academy at West Point, and who was the best man. Mr. and Mrs. Bassett left for a wedding trip after the reception, the bride wearing a stylish going away gown of pale gray cloth, with hat to match. |
