Of the total number, 415 were men over 38 years of age who were Teleased from active duty to work in industry or agriculture. Of the 415 releases, 384 were affected before May 1, the first deadline set for men over 38 to apply. The time was extended from May 1 to July 1, and between those dates 31 men .were released to the Army Enlisted Reserve. Today is the last day for filing. A total of 84 men received disability discharges and nine were discharged for various other reasons. For the nation as a whole, a total of 1,100,000 men will have ibeen discharged between 1940 and 1943, inclusive, for all causes, according to Washington, D. C, figures.
