Show Popular Educator Married at Ogden Hosts of warm and admiring friends were agreeagly surprised and elated with the announcement of the marriage of Miss Ruby Jensen and Deibert Burgess last Sunday when the newlyweds returned to Salina last Sunday evening. The marriage ceremony w-as performed at Ogden, and in the presence of a few intimate friends. The following day they returned re-turned to Salina and were given a warm greeting. Mrs. Burgess is an accomplished -woman and is prominent in educational educa-tional and social circles at her former for-mer home, Gunnison. She graduated from the University of Utah, and for five years served efficiently as professor pro-fessor of English at the Gunnison . Valley high school. At Gunnison i she was an active member of the Business & Professional Women's '. club, taking a leading part in the club in placing it among the best in the state. . Mr. Burgess is widely known throughout Utah as a leading farmer and stockman. Not only this, but he is a leader in civic affairs and his efforts in forging his home town to the front have been effective. At present Mr. Burgess is associated with the Gunnison Scgar company, as fieldman. Mr. and Mrs. Burgess have hosts of close friends who will join In wishing them happiness and prosperity prosper-ity throughout. They will make Salina Sa-lina their permanent home and will be at home to their friends after October 18th. Salina Sun. |
