Show ATTEND FUNERAL RITES. Mr. and Mrs. Melroy Peterson, who were called to Salina to attend the funeral of Morris Curtis, returned to their home in Gunnison Wednesday morning. Morris Curtis, a brother to Mrs. Peterson, was drowned Thursday Thurs-day evening as he attempted to cross Loss Creek, which had been swollen to the banks by a cloudburst. He had been with a brother at King's Meadow Mea-dow and was enroute to his home riding rid-ing a horse. When the horse appeared appear-ed at a ranch at Tipperary, suspicion was aroused, and early Friday morning morn-ing some 100 Salina citizens instituted insti-tuted a search, and at 8:45 the body j was found by Mayor J. I. Rex. Morris ' was 17 years old. Funeral services I were held Sunday. |
