Show Typhoid Patient Flees From Fire, The town of Elsinore was visited by the largest lire in the history of the community Tuesday morning, four frame houses situated south of the opera bouse being destroyed. The fire started in the rcof of the house ocoupied by a man who was lying in bed, suffering from typhoid fever. When the Bick man learned that the house was on fire, he wrapped wrap-ped himself up in the bed clothing and ran barefooted through the snow the distanoe of a block, to the residence resi-dence of a neighbor, where he took refuge. His flight through the snow did not eeetn to make him any vvorss. This and three ad joiniug houses were destroyed by the fire, South of the burned block was a big frame building containing agricultural agri-cultural implements and a considerable consider-able quantity of wheat, This build ing was saved. |
