Elections wcro held on November 26 Inst, when only four men camo to voto. Thero was to be a second election last Sunday. Tho whole ( day passed and not a solitary voter appeared. A quarter of an hour beforo tho legal limit of tlmo elapsed a benovolent citizen citi-zen at last appeared, drew up a list ot ten candidates, Including himself, and voted. A quarter of an hour later the election was declared legally valid, and tho other nlno candidates wero duly notified of their election. They have since declined In a body to be elected by a slnglo vote. Tho Good naturcd citizen, therefore, who alono voted now constitutes by himself tho town council of Los Sables. What Is Ktrnngcr still Is that ho may Invoko a precedent. . In fact, on a previous occasion, oc-casion, another citizen was also tho solo votor at an election, nnd voted for himself, remaining legally In office for ton yenrs.
