Show I Republican Column. Edited by tho ltopubllcau County ! Committee. The political aspecta In Box Elder Comity this year are such that every one may realize his fullest dcslro regarding political prluclplct sn far as his voting is concerned. With four tickets in tho field the voter should be able to sleet tho one whose party presents uu ideal platform plat-form of governmental principles accord-lug accord-lug to his way of thinking. There nre too many, however, who think this can be best done by "scratching" tho ticket This is not the case. Each parly stands for sue1 laws and I ,y nuch manipulation of government as to f its members stem best; aud thu only way a voter can demoustratu his NUpport of u party ami Its dcclaratlou aud methods Is U votu the ticket straight. Through tho working of the Republi can Party the United States has under the leadership of Republican statesman, attained a prosperity never before known In tho history of any country, aud even boyondourown most saugulne expectations expectat-ions as may bo learned by comparing present notes with those of teu years ago. To votu tho Republican ticket Is to sustain President Rootievelt In what he Is doing. To vote any other ticket Is to vote against him. The Democrats by their platform do notsustalu him, and the Americans are ashamed of him: so said one of their speakers at their late convention held In Salt Lake City, and ho was applauded to the echo by bis auditors. Aro the Republicans of Box Eldor County ashamed of President Ilooscvolt? We think not. THE REPUBLICAN PARTY of Box Elder County is convention assembled on the 18lh day of October, plactd a ticket in tho field, that should appeal to the judgment of tho voters. The Republican Repub-lican Party has In the past given the county a clean, honest and bnsstness-llko administration, for which no excuses need be offered. It is probably true that mistakes havo been made by our incumbents incum-bents in cfllce at different times and on different occasions. We are bound to confess that all of our canadldates are mortal, and subject to the limitations of the human race. At the samn time we refcre with prido to the past record of the management of the public affairs by the republican party in this county, and appeal to all who approve of sound business bus-iness policies In our local affairs to elect the candidates on the ticket uuder the eagle and beehive. Several of the candidates candi-dates have served the public faithfully and well in the past, and their record is the bent guarantco for their future usefulness use-fulness in tho public service. It has been customary in the past to honor public ofllcers who have served faithfully In their respectivo capacities, with a second term aud the convention did not vary greatly from the time-honored practice prac-tice in thla regard, but placed upon a majority of the officers who had served one term, the stamp of approval by rcuomlnation to succeed themselves. JOSEPH HOWELL. Words of pralso for Theodore Roosevelt and the present National Administration aro universal. Coming from republican, socialist amorlcan and democrat alike. The prosocutlon of unlawful trusts and corrupt officials in public office, the enactment of splonded laws favorable and just to tho common people, the general prosperity of the entire nation is due largely to a republican repub-lican administration and a vote for congressman con-gressman Joseph Howell will bo an endorsmeut of the past good work and help towards securing the enactment of more good and wholesome laws. JOSEPH E. FRICKE. Evary citizen Is interested In the judiciary of this state. Joseph E.Frlcke is a man whose character canuot be questioned an a lawyer and who will make a wise aud efficient associate justice of tbo Supremo Court. W. 8. Valentine has been a most efficient officer, and Is entitled to the samo consideration that is given to others, even if he happens to be related to others of tho samo name.
