Show mmiuviuu uuvjs By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 Jordan Jean Johnson, daughter daugh-ter of Carlon and Heather Johnson was baptized a member of the LDS church on Sunday by her father, Carlon. Out-of-town family members who were here were Garrett and Rachael Breit and sons, Zach and Parker of Las Vegas, Nev.; Heidi Thompson of Cedar City and Savannah Thompson of Las Vegas, Nev. Jordan's grandparents grandpar-ents Dennis and Joyce Johnson and Aunt Candace Johnson of Panguitch were also on hand, as well as grandparents Guy and Beverly Thompson and many family and friends from here. A baby shower was held for Logann Eagar on Saturday, given by her Aunt Trish Dixon of Riverton and Grandma Wynona Henderson. A large group was in attendance with lots of nice gifts received. Mitch Henderson was here from St. George and brought h is friend Julie Richardson. Visiting at Nathan and Lori Piatt's home were her brother James Dodd of Provo, who came for Jacob's Junior Prom; their friends Seth and Danica Soltz and four children of Orem and Danica's sister, Ranell Harbough of Orem. The infant son of Megan Naylor was blessed by his grandfather, Terry Naylor of Cedar City and given the name of Drake. Also visiting for this special occasion was Ruth Naylor and great grandparents George and Cleo Naylor of Salt Lake City. A family dinner was held afterwards. Megan is the sister of Heather N. Johnson. Doris Liles was in Cedar City for the blessing of her great grandchild, Madysen Liles. Her parents are G. Stan and Marcia Liles. Grandparents are Jeris and Bonnie Liles of Escalante. Uncle Cory and Aunt Ashley also attended. Ed and Sandy Boger were in town this week checking on their place. Cliff Mathews went to take his folks, Don and Louise Mangum to Kelso, Calif, where they used to live. Also going along were Kay and Lace Dunham, Ben and Diane Mathews and son Trevor. They then traveled to Boulder City and toured Hoover Dam. It had been 25 years since they had been back and so it was a wonderful won-derful time reminiscing the old days. Millie Chidester came to visit Artoise Piatt and Collette Mathews and Delpha Rose also joined them for a good visit. John and Annie Bamett are still in Las Vegas, Nev. for doctors doc-tors appointments. We wish the best for Annie as she will be having surgery. Roger Stahl has been down with broken ribs after a horse accident. Roger and Jan Fox have purchased the John Luke property south of the Darreld Neilsons. He plans to grow hay and make a picnic area later. He bought Martin Ramsays tractor to do all the work. Word was received here of the death of Clara Quilter, wife of Melvin Quilter. Eugene and LaKay and son, Gene and grandson, Dalton went from here as well as Thor and Cindy Johnson. Clara was a sister-in-law to Eugene and aunt to Thor. A personal note here. When we lived in Salt Lake City we always got our peaches and grapes from Melvin and Clara. She was a very pleasant and generous person and will be missed. Val and Terri Hinks were here visiting and working at Champ Moore's home. Steve and Vickie Coons were here from Kearns at the home of Russ and Lyllian LeFevre and visiting Rhoda Shafer and Travis and Tammy Shakespear. |
