V i Bob and Juanita Smith 50th Wedding Anniversary For Smiths PANGUITCH - Robert and Juanita Smith of Panguitch will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house Apr. 19 from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Panguitch LDS 3rd Ward building. build-ing. Please join them in celebration celebra-tion and no gifts please. They were married Apr. 10, 1953 in Orem and that marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on June 14, 1965. Actual celebration of their union began with an enjoyable family dinner Apr. 5 held at the Maddox Steak House in Perry . and will culminate with' the open house. Robert was born in Panguitch, a son of Earl and Amelia Smith. Bob served as a medic at Osaka Army Hospital in Japan for the duration of the Korean War. He retired from Hill Air Force Base in January 1984 with 33 years of federal service. He served as an officia-tor officia-tor at the St. George LDS Temple for 10 years and also as an emergency medical technician techni-cian for 10 years. Juanita was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, a daughter daugh-ter of Ervin and Gladys Sparks. She retired as a seamstress for Hamptons Dry Cleaners. She is an avid sewer with plastic canvas can-vas and has made over 300 personalized per-sonalized wedding albums as gifts. They have owned and operated operat-ed Color Country Nursery in Panguitch for the last 17 years. Their five children and spouses spous-es are Bonita (LaRell) Cottle, Ogden; Robert (Sue) Smith, Ogden; Pat (Doug) Ball, Ogden; Carol Combe, Ogden and Thomas Smith of St. George. They have 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. |
