Cot-tarn of Escalante announce the engagement of daughter Karen to SherrellOtt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Ott of Tropic. , The bride to be Is attending SUSC at Cedar City where she is majoring in business education. , Mr. Ott filled an LDS mission at Central British mission and is now attending SUSC where he is majoring in elementary education. Both plan to graduate at the close of this school year. No marriage date has been set. ENGAGED Mr. and Mrs. F, W. Checkctts of Provo announce the engagement of their daughter San-nette Louise to Myron Doyle Cottam, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle V. Cottam of Escalante. The couple will be married In the Provo LDS Temple Dec. 22. An open house will be held Dec. 29 at the Escalante South ward, with a reception to follow on Jan. 6 at Provo. The bride to be has lived in Hawaii for six years and Is now studying Art at BYU. Mr. Cottam served an LDS mission in the Central German mission and is now attending BYU where he is majoring in zoology. Both plan to graduate In August. ENGAGED Mr. and Mrs. Max Behunln of Boulder announce the engagement of their daughter, Twlla, to James Andrew Scot McDonald of Pearl City, Hawaii. Scot is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. McDonald of Hoe-hne, Colorado. The bride-elect is a graduate of Escalante High School, and is currently a senior at SUSC majoring In business education; she filled an LDS mission In the Pacific Northwest in 1967-69. The prospective bridegroom, a former naval officer and a commercial pilot. Is a graduate of the U. of Maryland and the U. of Hawaii, a BS degree in Marine engineering and a Master areo-space education; he attended the U. Of Arizona for graduate studies in education and law courses leading, toward an LLD degree and education Ph. D. He is the immediate past president Of the general aviation council of Hawaii areo-space education association. The young couple plans a. Dec. 21 wedding. |
