Show Truman Snow Lyman BOULDER, Utah Truman Snow Lyman, 85, of Boulder, Utah, passed away Mar. 31, 2001, in Bicknell, Utah. He was born Apr. 22, 1915, in Teasdale, Utah, to Francis Marion and Hazel Mae Snow Lyman. He married Leona Cleverley, Apr. 23, 1946, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She preceded him in death Apr. 10, 1982. He married Helen Jean Anderson, Dec. 18, 1982, in the Mesa LDS Temple. She preceded him in death, Jan. 21, 2001. Truman graduated from Wasatch Academy where he was active in football. He served in the Central States LDS Mission from 1938 to 1940 where he met his first wife Leona. He served a couples mission in Texas with his second wife, Helen, from 1990 to 1991 Truman was a farmer and rancher. He owned and operated his own sawmill as a young man. He also worked as a carpenter on the Glen Canyon Dam. He worked and retired from the Escalante Saw Mill. He was an avid outdoors man and rock collector. Truman was a master story teller. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served in many capacities, including bishop, bishop's counselor, a member of the high council, temple worker, and in his most recent calling as scout master. He is survived by his children, Sandra Mae (Howard) Miller, Escalante; Cleo Reed (Mary) Lyman, Heber City; Kent (MaryAnn) Lyman, Orem; Noel (Michelle) Lyman, Bicknell; Helen's children, James (Betty) Hyde, Boise, Ida.; Matthew ""' ' N i' ' ' Truman Lyman (Melissa) Hyde, Mesa, Ariz.; Gerrick (Maudean) Hyde, Mesa, Ariz.; Particia (Jeffrey) Swanson, Sandy; 47 grandchildren; 37 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ivan (Dorothy) Lyman, Oregon; Edith Isaacson, Salt Lake City; Opal (John) Spencer, Springville; Dale (Lillian) Lyman, Escalante; Lincoln (Alice Ann) Lyman, Escalante; Loya (Glen) Gubler, St. George. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Leona; wife, Helen; two brothers, Conrad Lyman and Kirk Lyman; three sisters, LaRue Went-worth, Went-worth, Olive Lyman, Yvonne Lyman. Ly-man. Funeral services will be held Friday, Apr. 6, 2001, at 1 p.m. in the Boulder LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Magleby Mortuary on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and at the Ward Chapel in Boulder on Friday from 1 1 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Boulder Cemetery.
