Show Area Obituaries Curtis Chase Carter ST. GEORGE, Utah -Curtis Chase Carter, at the young age of 20, passed away on Oct. 17, 2004 at his home in St. George. He was born June 4, 1984 in Cedar City, Utah to Ben Carter and Marguerite Miller Matthews. He was recently engaged to Rosa McGuire. Curtis spent most of his younger years living in Gunnison, Colo., where he learned to love fishing, hunting and camping with his father and family. Curtis has touched so many lives by sharing all the things he enjoyed. He was a . craftsman, fisherman and all-around all-around outdoorsman. Curtis lived for others' smiles and laughter; dull moments did not exist in his days. He was magnetic, humorous, humble, generous and beautiful. His friends and family were at the top of his list and his fiancee above all. "Curty" will be deeply missed by all: his fiancee Rosa, his parents, stepparents Neal Matthews and Sandra Ipson Carter, his sisters Kneisha and Andrea, his brothers Chris and I -I i Curtis "Curty" Carter Lance, his grandparents Mitch and Beverly Miller and Phil and Violet Carter, and many uncles, aunts and cousins who survive him. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 21 2004 at the Heideman Mortuary in St. George. Interment followed at the Tonaquint Cemetery. A fund in his honor, "The Curtis Carter Memorial Fund", has been established at Zions Bank. Aletta Encora Shakespeare Dodds HEMET, Calif. - Aletta Encora Shakespeare Dodds, 79, of Hemet, Calif, passed away Oct. 22, 2004, in Hemet. She was born Oct. 3, 1925 in the family home in Tropic, Utah. She was the last of 12 children born to William John Shakespeare and Matilda Ann Stolworthy. She married George Thomas Dodds Oct. 26, 1951, in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1999. Educated in Tropic, she served a mission for the LDS church in Canada, serving mostly most-ly in Alberta. Aletta is survived by her four children Garold Thomas (Sue) Dodds, Hemet, Calif; Ross William (Luann) Dodds, Riverton, Utah; DeAnn Dodds, Taylorsville, Utah; and Mark Evan (Cori) Dodds, Wichita, Kansas; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Eula (Leon) Parkinson, South Ogden; brothers, Obie (June) Shakespeare, Tropic, Utah; sisters-in-law, Dixie Shakespeare and Marion Mecham, both of Tropic; and brother-in-law, Wayne Fairchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Matilda; husband, George; v I Alette Dodds brothers, Ellis, Preston, Alten, Eldridge "R", William "Vern" and Marvin "Mont"; sisters, Mildred, Golda and Ina; sisters-in-law, Eda and Louie; and brothers-in-law, Glen and Elbert. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the Panguitch 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 200 North 400 East. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel in Panguitch on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Neal S.
