Mrs. James Petersen and party of young people returned last week from an overland visit to Mrs. Petersen's son Delbert and family at LaSal, San Juan county. Mr. and Mrs. George Q. Kdwards and family of Idaho Falls, in a handsome hand-some new car purchased in Salt Lake City on their way here, are visiting relatives and friends in Emery and Castiedale. Castle Dale is now the owner of a fine servcie flap carrying 29 blue stars, the handiwork of Mrs. Emmer Day and Mrs. Lewis Ungerman whose patriotic' work should be and is appreciated. The flag was first displayed at the soldiers party Wednesday night. Local relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Orange Olsen, who are now making their home in Ephraim, join in sympathy for them in the loss of their oldest child, Grant. The little one, who has never enjoyed very good health and was steadily becoming worse when the family left here, died j July 29th and was buried in Ephraim. Peacock sr., and Mrs. Will Fail of Or-angeville Or-angeville and Nathaniel and Quince Crawford of Feron and, Rochester, respectively re-spectively Memorial services for the young man are to be held tomorrow (Sunday) in Sterling and a large number num-ber of relatives from this county will be in attendance. One of the biggest of the farewell receptions tendered to Castledale's soldier sol-dier boys was that of Wednesday night when Ralph Jensen, Ervln Anderson, Junius Day and George Magnussen was held. The last two named left the day following for Camp Fremont, California while the first two will join the training corps at the University of Utah the middle of the month. Misses Naomi Asay of Castiedale and Lulu Jensen of Ferron, two of the volunteers volun-teers for the student nurse corps, were also honored guests of the evening. Seth Allen, as speaker of the evening, gave one of the most Inspiring talks heard in a long time, while the program, pro-gram, which was given by little ones for the most part, was an excellent one Mary's Little Shoes.
