Show Basketball Banquet Held Monday Night Duchesne High School's Eagles were honored Monday night at a banquet held in the multi-purpose room of the Duchesne Du-chesne Elementary School. Mrs. Lois Stansfield was general chairman of the planning committee. com-mittee. Trophies were presented to the 12 team members who played play-ed in the 1966 state basketball tournament at Provo in March and winning the eighth place ' berth. Coach J. Bennett Josie was honored by the team, and Rus-! Rus-! sell Cowan, the nD Club" i president, presented the coach ! with a trophy, which read "to the best coach on earth. " Those who watch and wait were not forgotten when the awards were passed out. Mike Bleazard presented pre-sented Mrs. Josie with a loving cup "for being the understanding and patient wife of our coach. " Linda Stansfield, head cheer leader, and Louise Moon, former for-mer head cheer leader, were presented trophies for having served four years as cheer leaders, lead-ers, thereby spurring the Eagles to great achievements. Russell Cowan made the trophy presentations. Phillip Moon emceed the program. A family-style dinner was served to 120 persons, including the basketball players, their parents, the Debutantes and their parents, laculty members and partners, school district staff members and their partners, school board members, and ' team boosters Mothers of the team members mem-bers and Debutantes helped with preparation of some of the fo4 and the school lunch department vvorkcrs, headed by MpS.
