Buhler on Jan. 21 in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ogden with rites performed by Rev. Leo Rubel. The organist was Jeri Oswald and acolyte, Ted Verrier. PARENTS OF the bride are Walter and Shirley DeVore, 420 North Main and the bridegroom's parents are Verle and Joyce Buhler, 141 East 200 North, all of Far-mington. Far-mington. A rehearsal dinner was held' Jan. 20 in the Mansion House in Ogden, hosted by the bridegroom's parents. A reception given by the bride's parents, honored the couple that evening held at The Chateau Cha-teau Reception Center in Layton. THE BRIDE designed and made her gown which was of woven Qiana, floor length with detachable chapel length train. Re-embroidered lace accented the shaped standing collar with contour waistline, train and cuffs. Full long sleeves were softly gathered into cuffs, small covered buttons but-tons and a small self fabric bow accented the bodice. The elbow length veil of illusion was held in place with a Juliette type headpiece of re-embroidered lace and seed pearls. HER CASCADE of flowers were pink carnations, deep red baby roses, stephanotis and baby breath. Mrs. Var (Vickie) Calder, sister of the bride was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Jill Ferrin, Cindy DeVore, Valerie Buhler and Mrs. Steve (Valerie) DeVore. THE ATTENDANT'S gowns were of maroon velvet with pink Italian satin, designed and made by the bride. Flowers were nosegays of pink carnations, deep red baby roses and baby breath. Mothers of both bride and bridegroom selected floor-length floor-length gowns of pink knit Qiana and corsages were pink carnations and deep red baby roses. KEVIN SMITH performed the duties of best man and ushers were Steve DeVore, Var Calder, Brent Buhler and leff Buhler. Marilyn Welch served at the guest book. Mrs. Durward Nimmo and Mrs. Dot Cranshaw cut and served the wedding cake. Attending gifts were Mrs. Jerome Blaka, Mrs. Stan Lebakken and Mrs. Stan Lokken. PRENUPTIAL parties were given by Vickie Calder, Val DeVore, Jill Ferrin, the Buhler family and Alice DeVore and Betty Herbert. Mrs. Buhler graduated from Davis High in 1975 and is now attending Weber State College. MR. BUHLER graduated from Davis High in 1973 and graduated from Utah Technical Tech-nical College in Salt Lake City in 1975. Out-of-town guests who came for the wedding included includ-ed Mrs. Leora Lokken, the bride's grandmother from Eau Claire, Wise; three aunts, Mrs. Jerome (Dora) Blaka, Independence, Wise; Mrs. Durward (Janice) Nimmo, Nim-mo, Waukisha, Wise; and Mrs. Stanley (Winnie) Lokken, Centerville, Ohio. FRIENDS WHO came were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lebakken, Eleva, Wise; Mr. and Mrs. Stan Lebakken and Scott from Anoka, Minn.; Mrs. Hank (Pam Frisbie) Nulle, Amy Sue and Clay from Bellingham, Wash, kj |
