Thats just what happened in Farmington Aug. 30. Two citizens, Brent Birdsall, and Jim Snarr, according to the application, asked for permission to use city hall for a public meeting. Following the environment committees recommendation, the council, passed a resolution Wednesday that effectively spares the trees. Board of Education members gave preliminary approval Tuesday night to a plan which would add the districts maintenance vehicles to those designated McGruff trucks. The McGruff program is a national safety program which designates homes and utility vehicles as safe places a child can go if they find themselves in trouble. But Farmingtons decision to spare the trees by replacing 25 existing power poles with taller 55 foot poles does have a cost. Utah Power & Light has agreed to furnish the poles, but the city must come up with roughly $13,000 between $500 to $700 a in next years budget for the removal pole of the existing poles and the installation of the Sue Parsons is a piano teacher but she has also been Miss USA of Natural Body Building with her sights on becoming Miss Universe of Natural Body Building. Parsons has worked out at Bountiful Fitness in Colonial Square for three years. During that time she has won several prominent body building awards. The latest came in June when she was named the winner of the Miss California Body Building Championship. On June 12 in Victorville, California Parsons won the Miss California Bodybuilding Championship, a natural body building competition. Each contestant is tested for steroids and other drug enhancing products. Her win there qualifies her to do pro shows in body building. She will be doing a show in the spring in Detroit.
