"If this were fresh water I would be out here everyday,' said Pace. would increase the potential of success of a large fresh water lake. With so many boats in the county, supporters feel the Farmington Bay project would be ideal, and would give Davis County residents the opportunity op-portunity to spend their recreation dollars within the county. "It would be great for the boat business, said Spirey. "It would bring in a lot of tourism, I just don't see any disadvantages to freshening this part of the lake." "If it stays salt water it will be basically left alone, just like it is now. People just prefer fresh water for recreation, ' he said. |
