Thanksgiving Day ,all over the United States, the Seventeenth Annual An-nual Sale of the penny tuberculosis Christmas Seal wilt commence, and will continue until Christmas Eve, in whic htime Utah will be expected to raise the $50,000 allotted to her in the national drive. For several months the work of organizing every county in the state for the sale has been in progress, pro-gress, until by the time set for the opening of the campaign "every place, no matter how small, will have its committee, under whose direction the sale will be conducted. ' ... - Dr. John A. Widtsoe is directing the state-wide campaign, with James H. VVallis, secretary. . .An advisory committee, of two hundred prominent promin-ent men and women in each county, has been selected by Dr.-Widtsoe" to help him in "putting the job over." An allotment of Christmas Seals' has been made to each local committee, and it is expected that everyone will be sold and none returned. The schools, which have always been ready to help, are again called upon by Dr. C. N. Jensen, state superintendent, and every boy and girl, teacher and principal, will willingly respond in the great cause. Every prominent man an dwoman in the United States, from President Coolidge down, every monthly magazine and trade journal, every state and church official, including in-cluding Gov. Mabey, "the First Presidency Pres-idency of the L. D. S. church, head of the Catholic and other churches, presidents pres-idents of the State Farm Bureau, Federation Fed-eration of. Women's Clubs, General Relief Society, Senators and Congressmen, Con-gressmen, have all endorsed the sale of Christmas -Seals, because these penny stickers furnish the only funds with which to, fight l tuberculosis in both state and nation.
