Show RITES HELD FOR FRANCISB. MCRAE Funeral rites for Francis B. McRae, 69, of Bingham, who died of coronary thrombosis in a Salt Lake hospital Sunday, were held Thursday afternoon in the Civic Center. The American Ameri-can Legion post No. 30 was in charge of the services, with Post Commander Wayne Shelley directing. di-recting. Mrs. D. O. Stoker, accompanied by Mrs. Wayne Shelley, sang two vocal solos. Mrs. C. A. Morley played violin selections with piano pi-ano accompaniment by Mrs. Shelley. William Jackson, H. A. Brown, Willis Sperry, J. T. Vickers, Sam Feroco and Jess Streator were pallbearers. The firing squad from Fort Douglas gave a graveside grave-side salute. Bishop David C. Lyon and Al-I Al-I fred Henkel were speakers. Mr. McRae was born in Iowa, April 17, 1870, and came to Salt Lake City from Pocatello, Idaho, in 1915, taking a position with the Utah Copper company. He enlisted en-listed in the World war and was a member of the army of occupation, occupa-tion, following the war. On his return from France, he resumed his job with the copper company and at the time of 'his retirement was a leyel foreman. He was married to Clara Lovins in Bloomington, 111., in 1895. Surviving are a son, Keith McRae of Flint, Mich., a brother, Austin McRae of San Francisco, I and a sister in California. Interment was made in the Legion plot at the Bingham cemetery. The Bingham Mortuary Mortu-ary made arrangements. |
