made jn n less than seven hours with a stop for lunch at Cedar City a most attractive little community nestled under the shadows of the southern spur of the Wasatch range and which really marks the northern boundary boundary boundary boun boun- dary of this most wonderful and I attractive scenic area of which Zion is a leading f feature The flee drive from the railway to to Cedars Cedar City is vineyards furnished grapes and wines LINKS ROCKY TEMPLES With a sharp turn to the east cast we climb over the rim of the great fault following the south bank of the waterway where the state road leads through the little towns of Virgin City and Rock Rock- ville Here we reach the confluence confluence ence of two tAvo creeks that form j. the head waters of the Rio Virgin One of these creeks called its it's summit Here we recognize the peak which the Mormon leader titled the West Vest Temple of the Virgin We Ve turn northward and find that this wondrously colored mount marks the eastern side of Zions Zion's portal and do not wonder at its christening by the grandeur of its wondrous formation formation- and the marvel marvel marvel mar mar- vel of its colorin colorings it is truly a natural temple Nowhere in all the world can there be found a amore amore amore more striking facade than that which forms the east front of this wierd mountain and and in conjunction tion with the array of peaks a and d dome like summits that flank it iton iton iton on the north it is easily transformed transformed transformed trans trans- formed into a temple where adoration adoration adoration ador
