Show DR. BAKER TO MEET RUD1GER Two Golfers Will Clash for President's Cup at Country Club In the 3emi-finals for the President's cup at the Ogden Country club la.st week Dr. F. W. Bakor and W. R. Rudiger wero successful in their, play against John Spargo and Mark Murphy, Mur-phy, and will clash this week on the green for the honors. 73n. Baker defeated de-feated John Spargo 'J up, while Rudl-gar Rudl-gar won out over Murphy 1 up. Golfers were out In force yesterday at, the club. Mrs. A. P. Bigelow won the May leg for the President's cup, while Mrs. F. W. Baker won the Bigelow Bige-low trophy for the second time. Boyd, Harry Shearman, P. A. Dix, E. JL. Van Meter, J. E. Olson. Ol-son. The Salt Lakers and Ogdenites will mix in a team match, the return games to be played at the local club Sunday, Juno -7. The following' players qualified for tho monthly cup for June, and will play in the following order: P. T. Wright vs. W. R. Rudiger, C. A. Day vs. F. W. Baker; Hal Marchant vs. H. Shearman; R. E. Bristol vs. John Spargo, Richard Leek vs. A. P. Bigelow; Bige-low; Mark Murphy vs. W. H. Barnes; A. S. Mohr vs. J. Compton, and W. Arthur vs, I. N. Pierce. DTirlng the month of May, SC5 members mem-bers of the club played on tho green. Sixty-five visitors wero registered during dur-ing the month. Several prominent golfers visited at the club during the past week, included in-cluded the following; George Von Elm, state champion; G. H. Lickert, Omaha; Alex Chalmers, Chal-mers, Omaha; A. H. Hanse, Chicago, G. E. Eyres, Marysville, Vermont; a. Jackson Ditch, San Francisco; Captain Cap-tain Katz, Captain II. R. Emery, U. S. A.; Corbin Edgeil, Newport, New York; 11. A. Benny, Twin Falls; S. Harris, New York City; B. F. Young, Arkansas; B. E. Rowley, Toronto, Canada; Can-ada; and E. II. Harsha, Chicago. A. L. Brewer, well known hunter, played his first game of golf yesterday. yester-day. Brewer wa3 out hunting 'em, according ac-cording to the old heaiSs, and should make a first rate golfer.
