REGISTERED at tho Cullen Is David Bulloch of Cedar City, a prominent stockman stock-man of southern Utah and one of tho pioneers of Iron county. On account of the washout on tho Salt Lako Route, Mr. Bulloch was unable to ship some hogs and cattle to his regular market, Los Angeles, so he has disposed of his stock In Salt Lake. He states that the farmers farm-ers of Iron county havo entered the business of hog raising In earnest and are making good money. Tho land supplies sup-plies good provender and a hog of 300 to 350 pounds brings from ?25 to $30 on foot. AT THE New Windsor, Gwilym Jones, county clerk of Carbon county. Is registered. Mr. Jones says they arc just completing a new courthouse at Price at a cost of $70,000. The canal for the Irrigated Lands company was completed com-pleted last fall, so there will be something some-thing doing In the land business In the spring when tho scheme Is put In opera.-tfon. opera.-tfon. A GUEST at the Cullon Is William Lloyd, one of the 'big mining men of Piochc. Mr. Lloyd Is superintendent of tho Prince Consolidated and third ownor of Ihe Mendha mine at Ploche, and has been a resident of that place for twenty-four twenty-four years. A few days ago he came out of the famous mining .camp by fighting fight-ing his way through the deep snow from that place to Modena, a distance of forty miles. The road Mr. Lloyd followed Is in had condition and no ore will be brought over It for ninety days. It took Mr. Lloyd thirteen hours to mako the Journey, his mode of travel being a light vehicle drawn by two span of horses. |
