Show Rites Held at Bo wen Home for Mrs. M. Chapin Impressive funeral services were held Wednesday, May 18, at the home of Mrs. William Bowen far Mrs. Marietta Chapin, who died at her apartment here last Sunday. Sun-day. Bishop D. J. Sutton officiated at the rites. Special musical numbers num-bers were: two duet selections by L. B. Holman and daughter, Mrs. Seth Godfrey. A vocal solo by Frank H. Baugh Sr. Bishop Oscar . F. Rice spoke of the early life of -Mrs. Chapiin, her hospitality, kindness kind-ness and good cheer to her relatives rela-tives and friends. Clarence L. Hammond of Providence Pro-vidence eulogized the many fine, qualities of Mrs. Chapin, her interest in-terest in young people and the j quiet life she had lived of late j years. Prayers were offered by Pres. O. W. Dunn and J. A. Hendrick-son. Hendrick-son. The grave in the Providence cemetery was dedicated by Moses! Thatcher. j |
